Cannabidiol is a major medicinal compound found in the cannabis and hemp plants. Although the CBD compound is the same, it is naturally found in different concentrations in cannabis vs. hemp — typically, hemp has much higher percentages of CBD compared to cannabis. It is possible to extract CBD from cannabis, however due to the high content of THC + other cannabinoids it is difficult to completely isolate the CBD.
